Glide: Home in the Cloud

Invysion is proud to have led the product strategy, research and design for this non-profit digital initiative for the homeless. After 2 years in the making and generous financial and resource support from Google the phase 1 of this initiative launched in March 2017.

Project role: Experience strategy, user research, information architecture and interaction design.

 



 
 

Explore

Experience Strategy: the first step was conducting a series of focus groups with Glide Staff to gain a better understanding of customer and staff pain points and opportunities with the current paper based system for applying for housing and services. This followed by a series on in person interviews with Glide clients and staff to determine attitudes, perceptions and behavior regarding applying for housing and services.

Create

Wireframes: the final experience was the result of a close 1 year collaboration with the Glide Team and Google engineers. The scalable client and staff facing experience leveraged Google Authentication, Cloud Platform and Firebase technology.

Launch

Post launch: following the Glide staff facing launch in March 2017. Glide has entered into talks to partner with the Mayors office of Housing to explore closer collaboration and cooperation to track and process housing applicants.
